to hell wif chinese.11:03 PM or rather to hell wif th compos. gah! dere are certainly many other better and mre constructive ways of learning th chinese language than to write compos isnt it? in my honest opinion, i sincerely haf not gain any new knowledge bout th chinese language since my prisch days. i may haf learnt a handful of new vocabs (mind you, i rly meant a HANDFUL) and new formats for different text types, BUT my level of chinese is lyk stagnant for years. and i understand very well th reason i entered qianghuaban. nahhs its certainly not bcos my chinese is good in any way, but i score well cos of my content. we're lyk given loads of compos to do and in the recent wk, i was given 3 chinese compos. and it is not helping me at all. and in a way, its backfiring cos everybody dreads chinese compos now. i mean nobody lyks doing compos in general, but im not complaining bout english essay writing cos up til now were're only given 1 and had 1 essay writing test. and i can safely say english i learnt much mre in english even tho' we plan the essays only most of th tym. chinese is lyk SO... haish. i tink chinese is being taught th wrong way. compos are not a very ideal way for learning. i noe, practice makes perfect, and th only logical explanation for the rising number of compos is dat th sch wants us to practice to attain perfection. but dat is highly impossible. th fact is shown dat everyone's compo has alrdy reached a certain standard. we dun rly see anyone having a vast improvement in compo writing at all. aniwaes haf i mentioned dat i admire ppl wif a strong grasp of th english language? especially ppl who are able to express themselves well in writing, not rly much of th speaking sense. and it doesnt matter whether its broken english or not. tho' th usage of perfect english obviously do help alot mre in expressing oneself. hmms. i haf to say im not one of those ppl. sadly. time and tide waits for no man. but i'll owaes be right here waiting for you.
