omg im back frm obs and i totally didnt die dere.8:57 PM applaudes for me! and i obviously didnt die frm sharks and mosquitoes attack or frm jumping to my death. tho' i did figuratively die frm mosquito bites, ant attacks, heat stroke and tiredness. on day one, we arrived at camp 2. we were grouped in ten over different grps and i was in DA GAMA watch wif our instructor chu ai, xq (coincidentally), xiuhan, liting, jiaxu, zhiying, shermian, weiwei frm 3a and stanley, qiyuan, wenyi, farah, jingyi and victor frm 3g. and ms tang yuqing was our teacher-in-charge! super nice larhhs she. we did some minor activities such as trust fall and belaying. I was quite nervous about the trust fall actually cos i alr dreaded tis activity before when xq told me about it, but it wasnt as bad as i imagined it to be. all 13 other people and ms tang were holding on to the mat while someone fell frm a short height. it was very safe i had to admit, but it was inevitable to feel unsure when we do not haf implicit faith in our watch member, since it was the first tym we were grouped lyk tis. i did fall, of cos. whee~ later on we had to undergo belaying. i grouped wif stanley, xq and jiaxu. then we had to take turns being the role of the climber, belayer, secondary belayer and anchorman. wif 3 other guys belaying me, obviously i felt safe luhhs. hahas. but i dun tink xq felt safe when i belayed him, wif jiaxu being my anchorman, and stanley felt safe when jiaxu was his belayer and i, his anchorman. lols. and later on we pitched tents beside the beach at camp 2 and cooked dere. i cooked larhhs, but the rice was lyk semi-cooked only. it took a long tym cooking cos the fire caused by the solid fuel tablets is not dat hot larhhs. and some ppl were lyk complaining bout the food i cooked. sheesh uncontented fools. on day two, we had to kayak to camp 1. i partnered wif xq to kayak dere. it was my first tym kayaking larhhs so abit unused but still, we were the first to reached camp 1. i hate carrying the freakingly heavy kayaks. camp 1 was very high cls as it was the obs headquarters. but obviously they didnt allow us to pitch our tents anywhere near civilisation, so we had to pitch our tents in this ulu area near another beach. then we had to rock climb up tis man-made rock wall. then we had to use the skills we learnt on day one to rock wall. i oso eventually scaled up the wall. it was challenging larhhs but i still managed to reach to the top. my hand were shytcrap tired aft dat. we had our first fresh dinner for the day, other than our dry food rations. and i totally didnt realise dat we had a lacking in food as we didnt take the rations we nid on the journey and left them in the store in camp 2. ariel, frm the other watch, cook, gave us some provisions. so nice larhhs she. whee~ on day three, we had to kayak to our third campsite, camp jetulung. we had to play some grp games to earn 'cash' to buy the things we nid for the sea expedition to camp jetulung. the first game was key punch, and the rules were dat dere dere could not be any running, communication, crossing over of the circle or touching the key wif our right hand. then each of us had to be in charge of a key and then follow a number order in an increasing order. then we haf to tap the number in dat order and walk back to the starting point. my grp won 2nd! woots. second game was team ski, whr had to walk wif 7 of us on a plank to the other side and another 7 will walk back to the initial point. we totally won 1st place. woots! third game was giant skip, my fave! 2 ppl will be in charge of turning the rope while the other 12 of us had to skip together. we hit a record of 5 consecutive skips in 3mins. omg we utterly rawk. 1st place again.woots! last game was mass jigsaw, whr the jigsaw pieces we received were scrambled, wif some of our pieces wif other grp. then we had to go ard to search for our pieces. and da gama won agn. gosh. but some other sore loser accused our grp of not sharing our pieces. my foot larhhs, i was totally walking ard trying to gif ppl our extra pieces and HE did not ask frm me. yeas my fault. ignores, da game still rawks wif 1st agn. woots! but in the end obviously since had so much $$ and other grps totally did not haf enuf to make it over to camp jetulung as they had no $$ for kayaks or paddles, we had to share our wealth. to tink we were so generous, yet they accused us. wad crap. then we were off on our sea expedition. it was hell tiring larhhs, kayaking for 3-4 hrs i guess. super tideous larhhs. and my hands felt lyk its dropping off. but when i got to the campsite, it was relieving. at long last, success is swt. then i cooked agn. while some others pitched the tents. at least no rice for today, it was my fave instant noodles and campbells mushroom soup for dinner, and dere was oso sardines. yum. on day four, we had to go for a land expedition towards our first camp, camp 2, whr all our stuffs are dere, including our untouched provisions. cos for the sea expedition, we did not haf to carry our backpacks, it was relatively slacker. land expedition was super super strenuous larhhs. wif our shythell heavy backpacks and all. it was totally much more tiring than the sea expedition. to tink i tot dat was tiring enuf. it took us 5 and a half hrs, walking 7km to camp 2. i was the navigator, to lead to way. dere was fking loads of mosquitoes larhhs. tho' i was wearing lond sleeves and long pants, looking at hellloads of mosquitoes isnt less bearable. we had to pass all the checkpoints on our way dere, even making a detour, walking into some ulu jungle area and all. and poor ms tang had to come along wif us. hahas. and my feet were lyk pain and tired lyk hell. arghs. tinking about it, i didnt see how i could reach the destination in the end. reaching the campsite was a great success, a great accomplishment. so it is true dat the more effort we put in, the sweeter the reward. yeas. after dat, i helped pitched the tents and cooked. super tiring to haf to cook 14 packets of maggi. including our untouched provision we could finally get our hands on, lyk curry chicken and anchovies in spices. i ate last but the rest had to help me clean up though. and we gave our food to cook, cos they helped us loads on our journey. thanks! teamwork was present within our grp. maybe these 4 days of us being tgt as a grp brought out the bond in us. later on we had a night activity, a night walk. it sounded super nice but i was totally wrong. we had to walk far into the jungle as a grp but, we had to come out of the jungle to the campsite alone in pitch darkness. gosh swear as we were walking into the jungle, i ask super scared but farah calmed me dwn. i nearly cried larhhs. i was super scared of walking back alone cos i tot of many frightening thoughts. stupid. then wenyi, who was walking in front of me, told me not to be scared cos she will be in front of me. imagine a little girl calming me dwn. hahas irony. xiuhan was super brave cos she volunteered to be first. chu ai told us to reflect on our life and all during our walk back. i didnt even think about dat at all larhhs. i was scared enuf and only thought of going out of the forest. then i had extra reassurance when throughout my whole journey back, i could see wenyi and xiuhan not far ahead of me. phew. i cant imagine wenyi to be some firghtening spirits cos she was SO wenyi. hahas. so i only tot about coming out and i succeeded. whee~ but it proves to show dat everything can be overcome. despite countless obstacles, just wif a goal in mind, everything is possible. dat marks the end of our activities. on day five, we had to do our final completion of our da gama tree dat describes our values, actions and results. then we had to present on it, and tell the grp wad we learnt throughout these 5 days. and we received our photos. then we had to pack up the stores. we lost 3 camping sticks, 13 tent pegs, 2 bottles and 1 broom. chu ai gave us everything to replace the ones we lost except the broom cos she cant find any extra. i feel guilty cos i tink we only had 1 brrom in the start but i didnt record so we had to pay for one mre. but stanley paid for it cos he's rich. then we packed up and headed to receive our certs and went to the souvenir shop. i bought 2 tees, one white polo dryfit tee and one blue sleeveless dryfit tee. whee~ but had to borrow some $$ frm stanley cos had to pay for photos too. i totally miss obs now. as the quote on one of the checkpoint states, "if we were at home, we would wish to go for an adventure, but if we were on an adventure, we would wish we were at home." so true. i totally dunwan to go back to those idiotic, shitty days. went out to eat tgt wif shixiana and xq. talked about the stuffs dat happened at obs cos shixian as in a different grp. we were all broke larhhs. lols first tym. back to obs anytym. anything rather than damn school. no nid to miss me le. im lyk back. physically.
